# MorseBeep

> MorseBeep (https://www.morsebeep.online) is a free set of Morse code tools that run in the browser: a translator that plays Morse code as sound, screen flash and vibration, a printable Morse code alphabet chart, an audio generator that downloads WAV files, a decoder that turns Morse code audio into text, and common phrases in Morse code. It follows International Morse code (ITU-R M.1677-1). Made by Kashif Sulehria in Lahore, Pakistan.

Key facts used by every tool:
- Timing: dot 1 unit, dash 3 units, gap inside a letter 1 unit, between letters 3 units, between words 7 units.
- Speed: the standard word PARIS is 50 units, so one unit in milliseconds is 1200 / WPM (60 ms at 20 WPM).
- Farnsworth spacing follows the ARRL standard (Bloom, QEX, April 1990).
- SOS is ... --- ..., sent in practice as one unbroken signal ...---...
- Nothing typed into the tools is uploaded; there are no accounts.
